- Define a “model” and describe some of the ways disease models can help us gain insight
- Define and discriminate between state variables and parameters
- Explain how maximum likelihood approaches can be used to fit disease models
- Use functions from the
bbmlepackage to fit epidemic models to real data, and then analyze resultant parameter estimates.
